The Rockna Wavedream NET is a high-end network audio player that combines several functions into one device.

  • Supports streaming from local storage, network shares, and internet services
  • Built-in Roon server capability
  • Also functions as a CD transport/player with dedicated FPGA processing
  • Multiple digital outputs: SPDIF, AES/EBU, BNC, dual HDMI I2S, USB
  • Galvanically isolated audio and server sections to prevent noise
  • Linear power supplies throughout for low noise

NETWORK MUSIC SERVER:

  • Runs UPnP/DLNA, AirPlay, MPD, HQPlayer NAA protocols and Roon server software to stream music from local storage or online services like Tidal
  • 1TB to 4TB of internal SSD storage for music files
  • Can also access external USB drives or network attached storage (NAS)

CD TRANSPORT:

  • Built-in CD drive for playing CDs
  • Proprietary FPGA-based buffering system for optimal CD playback

The Wavedream NET is a high-performance all-in-one solution for managing a digital music library, playing CDs with an advanced transport mechanism, and serving as a low-noise digital source. It is meant to be paired with the Rockna Wavedream DAC, which features proprietary R2R ladder DACs and upsampling filters, to form a complete digital front-end.
